I wrote this a little while back and thought it might serve as a bit of an introduction to wlff and the crew.
Before we went to Iwaya was the ball!!
Writing this, i'm thinking I wish I was actually sat down in a modest temporary *face-me-I face-you room and parlour reporting to you on my fancy stationery, live from the bubbling centre of the Iwaya community. This time of the night, it would still be alive, shops, stalls littered down the narrow road would be dimly lit with a lantern or church candle, people walking around, children sat looking spent beside their parents having probably used up their energy all day running around the muddy maze like residential area and there would be a general air of activity.
It’s the first blog entry so I want it to hit the spot - yours.
I want to get you as excited about the WLFF fundraising ball as possible given that we are not throwing any freebies your way (just yet)!
This year we aim to raise money for two education projects in Lagos, Nigeria.
There will be plenty on the projects on other parts of the site coming right up.
Soo ..
